A little peek...
Our third annual Christmas Cookie Exchange is this Thursday. Here is a sneak peek at the cookies and gifts. Each participant gets a little "thank you" from me! I will share the recipe later!
I have always liked the cookie exchange ideal. Maybe I will try it sometime. I only have a couple of friends that really but maybe I can work on some people for next year!
1 (16 oz.) jar unsalted peanuts 1 (16 oz.) jar salted peanuts 1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 (12 oz.) bag milk chocolate chips 2 (12 oz.) bags peanut butter chips 2 (1 lb.) packages White Almond Bark, broken in pieces
Layer ingredients, in order listed, into (4 quart or larger) crockpot. Turn the pot on low and cover with a lid. After two hours, remove lid and stir to combine. Replace lid and check again in 30 minutes. When all ingredients are melted, stir to combine. Ladle spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Allow to sit up - 1 hour. Thanks, Aunt Patsy!
My Must Try for This Year!!
Easy Fudge
1 bag chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
4 T butter
1 t vanilla
1/2 t salt
Microwave butter, chips and milk, in 30 second intervals, stirring between timings. When all is melted stir in vanilla and salt. Stir well. Pour into a foil lined and buttered 8 by 8" pan. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove from pan, remove foil. Cut into 1" pieces.
What's in it? It looks like gumdrops?
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be invited to a cookie exchange! You know how much I adore baking! No one I know likes to bake though!
Yum! We used to do a cookie exchange. Always fun to see (and taste) the different kinds of cookies.
