Sometimes it is nice to shop from the comfort of your own home. As I have grown older and more busy, I don't like to fight the crowds, and the some of the fake decor that seems ages old. I sit in my living room, listening to Christmas tunes I like, with a cup of fancy hot cocoa and browse away on my computer!
I do believe in supporting our local economy though, so I do go to a number of holiday festivals, arts and crafts fairs, and support my local neighborhood craftspeople. I choose to think of it as "balance."
Here are few things I am in love with for this year's gift giving:
Portable Blender I don't know what I would do without mine! It has a strong motor, charges quickly and holds 21 oz of fluid. I make my daily protein smoothie in mine, whether I am heading out the door or sitting outside admiring the view.
Smart Bird Feeder I got a much more expensive one of these bird feeders for Christmas last year and I have had a blast with it over the spring, summer and fall. I couldn't believe the birds that were visiting my backyard! I have birdseed sent monthly to myself so that I am always able to fill the feeder.
Toyerbee Telescope. My husband and I had a telescope for many years, but it became too large and heavy to really use well. We sold it and since have often discussed getting another one. I saw this on Amazon and wanted to try it out right away. It's lightweight, has a place to put your Smart phone so you can photograph and has a powerful lens. It is a quarter of the cost of the one I owned years ago yet has better technology.
Vintage (looking) Hobnail Drinking Glasses. I purchased these for my camper but they are so darned cute that I am using them at home! I love the colors in my kitchen and they make table settings so much fun to do. They are glass and heavy, and wonderful to drink from.
These are my four picks to start your Christmas shopping. I used coupons from Amazon to reduce the price. Sometimes I like to just go ahead and buy what I want without waiting (or hoping) for it to go on sale. What are your favorite finds so far?
